Ingredients:
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup butter, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs, room temperature
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup walnuts (optional)
1-12oz pack chocolate chips
Directions:
- Set out butter and eggs on counter to get to room temperature
- Turn on oven to 375 degrees
- In a large stand mixer, beat together brown sugar, sugar and butter for 3 minutes
- Beat in eggs, one at a time and vanilla
- Stir in Baking soda, salt and flour
- Stop mixer, add in walnuts and chocolate chips, pulse the mixer to add in
- Drop dough by tablespoon heaps onto baking stone, 2 inches apart
- Bake for 12 minutes, cool for 5 more then move to racks
- Eat warm, and serve to family to impress them
